Press Release: BirdSeed Collective Announces New Music Compilation
The art-minded non-profit is now taking submissions for a new music component of its annual 100 on 100 art show.
Denver, January 19, 2017: BirdSeed Collective expands its annual community-wide 100 on 100 visual art show to include music! 100 on 100, which showcases one hundred visual artists on the 100th day of the year – April 8-10, 2017 – is expanding with a music compilation. Musicians of all skill levels in the Denver Metro Area are invited to submit a track for consideration. All genres and styles of music are welcome, with the intended audience being people from all walks of life. A panel of BirdSeed Collective members -- Anthony Garcia, Gregg Ziemba and James Jewkes -- will make final track selections. Chosen songs will be included on a new compilation, released at Birdseed Collective’s annual 100 on 100 art show.

Deadline for submissions is March 1, 2017
Each artist can submit one track per project
Tracks should be submitted in WAV or AIFF
Mastered tracks are preferred, but not required. Please note if your track is unmastered
Deliver tracks via Google drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer (physical copies may be submitted; please contact James Jewkes, jewkes@birdseedcollective.com, to arrange)
Artists should include a photo or logo representing their musical project for use with the compilation
Unreleased tracks are preferred; please note/share info if the track has been released elsewhere

Selected artists will receive ten (10) free copies of the compilation; they may be sold or given away at the artist’s discretion. Additional copies may be purchased from BirdSeed Collective, which will also be selling the compilation as a fundraising tool. BirdSeed Collective also hopes to use tracks in an upcoming visual performance by video artist Orchid Zer0; please specify if you would not like your track included on the performance. BirdSeed Collective is non-profit organization made up of artists of all medias. We support the idea of "locals first," but see a greater community involved with the process of creative outlets. Our goals include sharing our talent with others and creating new ideas and platforms for artists to collaborate with and within.
