Ribbon-cutting on 40th & CO

In the midst of a snowy Colorado spring storm, BirdSeed Collective wrapped up their 40th & Colorado Blvd 303 ArtWay public art project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration. Various collaborators were present, including PlatteForum youths, community volunteers, and speakers Tony Pickett VP of Master Site Development at Urban Land Conservancy, City Councilwoman Robin Kniech, Rebecca Vaughan Artistic Director of PlatteForum, Ginger White-Brunetti Deputy Director of Denver Arts & Venues, and project lead artists Anthony Garcia and Thomas Scharfenberg. The celebration was capped off with a group ribbon-cutting and a free bike raffle. At 120 feet long and 16 feet high, the community-based project is BirdSeed Collective's biggest public art project to date. Photos are from the Saturday, April 29, 2017 ribbon-cutting ceremony.
